In Person Appointments Now Available

In Person Therapy Appointments Now Available in Santa Clarita CA with Nicole Connolly, Ph.D. and Associates

We are incredibly excited to announce that we are now back in our physical office location in Santa Clarita, and we are ready to offer in-person therapy appointments to current and new clients!

It’s hard to believe that it has been two and a half years since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Back in March 2020, we were all scrambling to figure out what to do to handle the evolving crisis. At that time, we switched to all virtual counseling appointments via video. As the COVID-19 public health crisis has shifted in recent months, we have decided that it’s time to begin offering in person therapy appointments again to better meet the needs of our Santa Clarita community.

COVID-19 Protocols

To ensure the safety of both our clients and our staff therapists, we do have several policies in place for in-person appointments.

Currently, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has mandated that masks are to be worn in all medical settings in LA County. This does include our therapy office location in Santa Clarita. We ask that all clients and family members wear masks while in the office. All staff members also have high quality masks to wear during sessions.

Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the office, including in the waiting room and by our rear exit door. We also have hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes available in the therapy office. Our staff will regularly try to disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and we have removed items from the office that are difficult to disinfect. We will also be providing children with their own dedicated art supplies to use during therapy sessions.

We have installed a medical grade HEPA filter in the office and will be running it during sessions. It should help reduce particulates in the air to improve safety of in person sessions.

We ask that all clients who are attending in-person therapy appointments to notify us immediately if you or someone in your immediate household has tested positive for COVID-19 or if you are displaying symptoms of an active illness (even if you are testing negative for COVID-19). In cases of illness, we will switch to a virtual session instead.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be an evolving situation around the globe. As such, we will continue to monitor the situation and may make changes to our protocols as new guidance is released from the CDC and the LA County Department of Public Health.

Virtual Visits Still Available

Although we are very excited to be seeing clients in person, we also really appreciate the convenience and ease of virtual therapy sessions. We plan to continue offering virtual visits as an option for most clients going forward. Research has shown that virtual therapy sessions are just as effective as in-person therapy sessions, and our own experience throughout the pandemic has also been very positive.

In some instances, virtual sessions may not be recommended. If your therapist is concerned that a virtual session will not meet your needs, they will discuss other options with you.

If you are looking to begin either virtual or in-person therapy for your or your child’s anxiety or OCD, please give us a call at (661) 430-9300 to find out about our current availability and how we can help.
